Phonak has now released the latest hearing aid in their lineup of Paradise models - the ‘Phonak Paradise Life’, the world’s first waterproof rechargeable hearing aid. The new models feature a Parylene coating for added durability, Bluetooth connectivity and much more. Here, we will run through all of the features that make this hearing aid a great choice.

Autosense OS 4.0

Phonak Life models are integrated with the Paradise Platform and feature Phonak’s Autosense OS 4.0. This means enhanced understanding in loud environments, better speech understanding and improvements in soft speech.

Motion sensor hearing also allows for better speech understanding while you are walking around. As you move and turn your head, Phonak’s Autosense OS 4.0 recognises where the important voices are coming from and focuses on these sounds over other surroundings in your vicinity.

Waterproof

The Phonak Paradise Life hearing aids are waterproof up to a depth of 50cm/19 inches. While this may not be enough to wear in a swimming pool, you should be able to shower or sweat from intense exercise without causing any issues.

Note that the receivers themselves are not as waterproof as the housing. Therefore, make sure to keep your ear canal as dry as possible to prevent water entering the receiver from the ear-bud and causing damage to the electrics.

Tap Control

Tap control triggers three functions: The ability to play/pause streaming, activation of your phone’s voice assistant and accepting/ending phone calls. Simply tap twice on your hearing aids to activate the Tap Control functions.

You can also configure the tap control settings in the MyPhonak app that can be downloaded from the app store.

Rechargeable

The Paradise Life is compatible with a brand new Phonak charger that Phonak has named the ‘Charger Case Go’. The new charging case utilises magnets within the charger that pull the hearing aids into their charging slots for a reliable charge every time.

The existing Phonak rechargeable hearing aids can provide a full day’s worth of hearing after charging for 2 hours. The 15-minute ‘Fast Charge’ can also provide up to 3 hours of listening. Time will tell if the new models have a similar, or longer battery life.

Tinnitus Balance

Similar to the technology built into all of our Phonak Bolero models, the Paradise Life hearing aids come with a Tinnitus balance noise generator that amplifies a sound to provide a distraction from the ringing or buzzing, lessening the impact of the Tinnitus symptoms.
